{easy hummus: rules of 1}


All you have to remember is the number 1 and five ingredients to make a yummy, homemade hummus!

This is one of my favorite things to make and take with a ton of veggies for ladies' get togethers. It healthy, fresh and usually balances out all the more decidant items brought. Replacing ranch veggie dip with hummus is of course better on the waist line. :)

I make this often at home too and have it along side my Greek Salads (to be posted).

Tahini paste can be sorda tricky to find. But it is usually found in the international food section. Tahini paste is ground sesame seeds. Sorda like sesame seed butter.

Since I started making homemade hummus years ago, rarely do I have buy the store bought kind. I think you might do the same after you try this recipe!

{easy hummus: rules of 1}




1 can of chick peas, drained, liquid reserved
1 lemon, juiced
1 clove of garlic, smashed
1 Tbsp tahini paste
1 tsp kosher or sea salt
Olive oil, optional


Place chick peas, lemon juice, garlic, tahini paste, and salt in a blend or food processor. Blend for 30 seconds. Add about 1/2 of the reserved chick pea liquid. Blend until creamy. Add more liquid if needed. Serve drizzled with olive oil on top.
